TWO MANY: For Cons 29November2012
Surrounded by women
Day and night
It can't be easy
One at home
One at work
And still, he can smile
He keeps a sense of humor
As one calls
With the other next to him...
Each says,
"Where's Cons?
Where did he go?"
I think he runs and hides, sometimes.
He's some kinda stand up guy, though.
He always comes back.
To two many women....
I'd still be in hiding.

Boys think I'm pretty
But I don't like boys
They smell funny
(most of the time)
They kiss too hard.
Girls think I'm pretty
Sometimes they don't like me
Sometimes they become my friends
And we share clothes.
Bois think I'm pretty
Sometimes they chase me
But they can't catch me
I don't want those bois
Even their pretty eyes don't interest me.
I think I'm pretty
I just don't like wearing dresses
And makeup is a pain
I'd rather be naked.
My Love, she thinks I'm pretty
I'd chase her to the ends of the earth
If I thought I could keep her
I've never chased anyone
Except for her.
She needs patience
I'm bad at patience.
So I'm chasing it to the ends of the earth
Then maybe she'll be mine.

If you want my love, don't offer me money - there's a name for that and it's never been in my job description, professional or otherwise. I don't want your money.
Don't buy me gifts. Anyone can stop into a store and buy things. Really, you must be more creative than the price tag. I have everything I need and besides, chances are it's not the one I had in mind anyway. Don't buy me useless 'things.'
Don't take me out to the most expensive restaurant in town, or buy me diamonds or useless trinkets. I know what I like to eat and it's not twenty-five dollars per plate, nearly ever. There's a story behind every piece of jewelry I wear - I don't just wear any old thing.
But if you ask me, I might share a story or two - and ask to hear your story, too.

Three-thirty Blues 16June2012
Every day, without fail
In the cavity that used to house my heart
The searing pain flickers
To a dull, pulsing ache.
Quite the unwelcome guest, she is
The mid-day sadness is here again
She's made herself at home
In my blue shade, sits with me awhile.
Heart-shaped lips trembling madly
With no reason to be seen
Pretty eyes willing back tears
I've grown weary of brushing away.
Can't speak
Can't think
Can't breathe
But I can still feel. And I do.
I can still feel.
I'd rather breathe.

OUCH! 05January2011
Heartbreak tip of the day:
Never cry with all your makeup on. Sure, makeup is great at hiding that Been-up-and-crying-all-night look while you're sitting at the desk, right up alongside the just-recently-ripped-your-heart-out-of-your-chest-and-ate-the-damned-thing-for-breakfast-with-a-smile ex-girlfriend, who only sits there because you gave up the bigger of your two desks so she'd have a place to work besides the visitor chairs. Eye makeup is great for that.
But always, ALWAYS remove said eye makeup upon your return home if you feel a good, miserable cry coming on. Because let's face it - the last thing you need is to have to run for the sink in the midst of a healthy, therapeutic "hurry-up-and-get-this-bullshit-out-of-your-system-so-you-can-get-on-with-it-already" crying fit, all because your eyeballs have suddenly burst into an agonizing chemical fire.
Heartbreak is bad enough without it, don't you think?

So, I'm back now.
I've decided that this will be my writing page. All the pieces I've written that I can find will be here. Since I'm importing, there will be no real order to things - but that just mirrors my life, at the moment.
My hope is that this page will allow my loved ones to hear my 'voice,' after my flame has flickered and died.
